Operations checklist
Get reservations ready for the way your team serves.
Use this checklist before opening online bookings, after a change to your room or service, and whenever a team needs a clear handoff. It is for hospitality Businesses worldwide with one to five locations. For more than five locations, contact Tableee about an Enterprise plan.
For one to five locations, Tableee Pro is £99 per location per month, plus VAT where applicable. Direct bookings have no cover fees or booking commissions.

01
Map how bookings reach the team
List the channels guests use today, including your website, phone, walk-ins and any external platforms. Choose one place for staff to record each reservation and name who resolves a possible conflict.
Assign an owner for each booking channel and shift handoff.
Keep a hosted booking page link available if a website change is still in progress.
For each location, make it clear which team can edit or confirm reservations.
02
Set availability against the real service
Review service periods, advance booking windows, party-size limits and the capacity offered online. In Tableee, saved time slots govern bookable availability; descriptive opening hours do not create reservation inventory on their own.
Compare each bookable time with staffing, table turns and the room’s capacity.
Test several future dates, times and party sizes in the public booking flow.
Repeat the test for every location whose service pattern differs.
03
Write clear terms for larger or scarce bookings
Decide whether particular party sizes, events or peak periods need a deposit or a card-on-file rule for an eligible no-show charge. Explain the deposit amount or applicable charge, cancellation deadline and refund terms before guests confirm, and complete the Business’s Stripe setup before accepting online payments.
Use proportionate rules that match the value and demand of the booking.
Confirm the guest journey presents the same terms the team follows.
For Stripe-powered online payments, local Stripe processing rates apply, plus the 1% Tableee commerce fee.
04
Make the floor plan useful during the rush
Set table names, sections and capacities to match the current room. Walk through a typical service so the host team can connect an upcoming booking with a seating decision, including how tables are combined or separated.
Check table labels against the room and the team’s spoken handoff.
Revisit capacity after a layout, staffing or service change.
Give the people seating guests access to the reservation context they need.
05
Check guest details and confirmations
Collect only the details that help the Business deliver service. Review the confirmation on a guest device and decide who follows up when a booking needs a human response.
Verify the confirmation shows the correct date, time and party size.
Add any arrival, access or deposit instructions guests need in advance.
Link the Business’s privacy notice where appropriate.
06
Rehearse and review the workflow
Before a busy period, make a test booking in an appropriate test setup and walk through a change, cancellation and arrival with the team. After service, review reservation and cover patterns and adjust settings based on what happened.
Confirm a booking appears against the expected date, guest and table context.
Agree who handles changes, no-show decisions and payment questions.
For a test that creates a reservation or payment, follow the normal cancellation and refund workflow.
Your questions, answered
What should a reservation setup checklist cover?
It should cover booking channels, real bookable availability, party-size and deposit rules, floor-plan context, guest confirmations and staff ownership.
Do opening hours create bookable reservation times in Tableee?
No. Opening hours are descriptive public information. Saved time slots define availability for online reservations.
